ACHIEVE OPTIMAL RIDING RESULTS FROM OUR DAILY CARE AND INSTRUCTION

The opportunity to establish a bond with one’s own horse is a transformative experience. Every rider strives to reach the level of trust and confidence that brings out the best in an equine partnership. However, challenges and unforeseen setbacks are common and often leave one in search of immediate solutions. Whether you have acquired a young prospect and need some assistance, are planning a leave of absence, are lacking in free time, or faced with boarding challenges while relocating, we will keep your horse on a productive path.

We discuss your current situation and goals in order to customize an equine program with a swift turnaround that fosters a willing and able horse—for competition, or just plain fun. We are focused and efficient so that you can return to your independent riding routine.

We offer a healthy environment, where horses thrive in response to calm, kind, and consistent training. Airy barns and stalls, grass fields, and a gentle touch are the foundation of our care. Our dedicated and mindful approach gives horses the opportunity to heal, strengthen, adjust, and improve.

We can:

Identify and help overcome your horse’s training obstacles.

Provide daily rehabilitation.

Help your horse reach optimal conditioning.

Maintain and build upon a positive trajectory.

THRIVING RESULTS

Whitney has had the pleasure of furthering the progress of the following horses:

THE EVENTING PROSPECT

ELLA

Ella was a challenging forward-lesson Connemara-Thoroughbred mare.  She began thriving with consistent care and education.  Under Whitney’s tutelage, she became an Eventing Novice packer and is now working toward Training level.

THE WILLING JUMPER

GOLDIE

This adorable Welsh pony arrived to Whitney as a low level Hunter.  Within one month, she became a willing and happy Eventer and consequently found a new job and home.

THE GREEN FOX HUNTER

QUINCY

This young Quarter Horse arrived with little knowledge but very eager to go forward and fox hunt. She spent three months with Whitney, learning how to listen, slow down, use her hind end, find the connection, and jump safely. Once back with her owner, Quincy performed calmly and confidently and together they enjoyed an exhilarating hunt season. Quincy now resumes her positive learning trajectory with Whitney for three months every winter.

THE OTTB

LUNA

An off-the-track Thoroughbred, Luna blossomed under Whitney’s quiet, steady regimen. She worked through Luna’s tendency to buck and resist connection, encouraging a soft mover and happy eventer.

THE SPOOKY SPORT HORSE

DIAMOND JIM

One of Whitney’s first projects, this Irish Sport Horse has never left her. After working as a fox hunter, Jim spooked his way through an eventing education until he was ready for the Beginner Novice level.  Patience and kindness has helped Jim evolve into a Preliminary-level competitor.

THE TRAIL TREASURE

HUCKLEBERRY FINN

Presumed useless by his previous owners and in work as a trail horse, Whitney and her daughter Sloane were passionate about illuminating Finn’s potential. He brought Sloane up the ranks to Training level and introduced eventing to Whitney: when Sloane unexpectedly could not compete, Whitney spontaneously picked up the reins and had a successful competition.  She has never looked back.

THE LOVABLE LEASE

MAHOGANY

Mahogany arrived in need of medical attention and a proper nutritional regimen. In short time, his spunky personality, healthy body condition, and shiny coat returned. He is a fun eventer (up to Training level), loves to jump, and is easy on the trails. Having started a consistent training program, Mahogany is now happily in work with an AA rider.
